Camera Smoothing
Added in v1.1.09Smoothing changes the temporal response of the 3D scene camera. Use it after setting Horizontal and Vertical motion: 0.00 is direct, while 1.00 gives the smoothest and most damped response.
Smoothing
Smoothing filters camera response over time. It does not change layer positions, scene depth, Field of View or the Horizontal / Vertical motion range; it changes how directly the camera catches up to changing gyro or touch input.
| Value | Current behavior |
|---|---|
| 0.00 | No smoothing; camera response follows input directly |
| Toward 1.00 | Increasingly smooth and damped camera response |
| 1.00 | Maximum smoothing; the camera follows input with the softest, most filtered response |
Recommended workflow
Set Camera Motion first
Tune Horizontal and Vertical until the scene reaches the movement range you want.
Apply the same motion repeatedly
Use a similar gyro tilt or touch gesture while comparing Smoothing 0.00 and 1.00. This makes the response difference much easier to judge.
Balance softness and control
Increase Smoothing when the camera feels abrupt or nervous. Reduce it when you want a more direct and immediate response to input.
